... to Bruce Wayne! According to the 1976 DC Universe Calendar [ www.geocities.com/the_time_trust_2000/calendar.htm], today is Bruce Wayne's birthday. February 18 is my birthday, by the way -- I turned 43 yesterday.Bruce turns 29 today ... as he does every year. When I turned 29, back in 1993, I got a kick out of thinking that I and my hero were ~ the same age. I have continued to age, and badly at that, but he keeps turning 29 every year, always at the top of his game. When I bought the calendar in late 1975, I flipped excitedly to February to see who shared my birthday. My eyes were playing tricks on -- or, rather, G-d was toying with -- me, and I thought I saw the Batman in my square. I was so excited! Then I looked again, and realized that his birthday was the day after mine. Whose face was in the February 18 square, you ask? Who, in fact, does share my birthday? Professor Zoom, the Reverse Flash of the 64th Century, that great, memorable, noble, heroic character. It's the story of my life. Happy birthday, Bruce!

He looks pretty darn good at 68!
If only Marshall Rogers could have drawn him for several decades more ...
