What is your take on The Batman Handbook? It seems to deal with the physical aspects of crimefighting, while your book deals with the ethics. VB

Hi, VB -- Thanks for writing! "What is your take on The Batman Handbook?": My take? Great question. I loved it, plain and simple. I've read and reread it many times, and find that it motivates me to push myself harder and further in my own training, workouts, and acquisition of new skills. A few other observations: Could any book boast a cooler, more dramatic cover? And the inside is just as terrific, with its stark, elegant drawings. I've had the pleasure and honor of corresponding with Scott Beatty for the last couple years. He was kind enough to contribute a blurb for Wisdom from the Batcave -- it's one of my favorites [-- the blurb appears on the "Reviews" page of this website, and is reproduced below]. Scott is a real gentleman; I can't say enough nice things about him. Back to the book: I agree with your observation that "It seems to deal with the physical aspects of crimefighting, while your book deals with the ethics." The Handbook motivates; Wisdom inspires. I hope they are synergistic. All the best, VB! -- Cary * * * * * * * * * * Why has the Caped Crusader endured so long as a paradigm of heroism in our collective consciousness? With his insightful deconstruction of the Dark Knight, Cary Friedman provides the answer by illustrating that above all else the most important item in Batman’s utility belt is a moral compass. Rabbi Friedman realizes that Bruce Wayne’s purpose-driven existence can also be a primer for any troubled soul to walk in the shadow of the Batman when facing the adversity and adversaries of this world.

Lol. I read Scott's quote down and thought " Has Bruce read Warren's 'The Purpose Driven Life"?

Ha! I wonder.
The real question, though, my friend, is: Has Warren read The Batman Handbook?
